Right then. Super easy as long as you're pointed in the right direction. If you'd like to have your gamercard posted here within your signature or - God forbid - stray from this board and want to have it in your signature there or on MySpace, etc., follow these simple steps:

- Click this link to get back to the frontpage of MGC.net

Now fill in your gamertag in the 'GamerTag:' box. Select your language preference and theme then simply click the 'Generate GamerCard Code'.

Now just click on the 'Forums (Image)' tab and copy the code then paste it into your signature box here, or elselwhere.

If you're wanting this for MySpace, click the 'MySpace (Flash)' tab instead.

Are you trying to upload it as a photo?

What you need to do is add it to one of you description fields (like the Interests box) as HTML code which you can copy and paste from the generator on the front page of MGC.

Ok so I'm using the flash code on my MySpace but whenever I click on my gamertag or the name of the games, the gamercard doesn't bring up a new window to bring up my stats. MySpace may be restricting what the card can do for security purposes. I cannot be sure though as I haven't used MySpace in a long time.

You don't want to be uploading the card from a web address. You need to see if the forum supports remote linking to another website for avatars (it'll ask for a web address). If it doesn't, then you'll have to save your card to your computer, then upload it. But doing it that way will mean it will not update. If you cannot get it to work the best bet is to just put it in your signature.

I made a post a while about our options in Vista. There may be some newer ones since then, but I haven't seen anything better yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Yeah Vista changed the way a lot of stuff is done, and that is one of the ones that affects us. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Maybe Morgon (or someone) should update the instructions to say that it doesn't work in Vista. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Like Dynamo Matt said there are some sidebar gadgets that will do the same thing. I'll link you to some of the ones I know of / or think work well.

1. Gamercard as a widget (I like this one best, it does require a separate program (it shows the mac version but there is a PC version on their website) to generate the MGC card and doesn't automatically update but works great and supports all the new flash features that were recently implemented)
2. Vista Sidebar Gadget by TheShinyDemon1 (this one is okay but it's just a picture and doesn't update on it's own, though there is an easy way to make it manually update)
3. Gamercard in Silverlight (requires silverlight to run and you have to use a workaround to run in x64 Vista. It doesn't look like a gamercard, but has all the same info)
4. XBLFiends by sorcer1 (works well and has lots of additional features, but is an entirely separate program that lives in the system tray and is only on the desktop when open)

If you have any questions about any of them or any other questions just let me know and I'll try to help you. There are certainly other options out there, but these are the ones I've used in the past or am using right now (I have 64 bit Vista Ultimate).

I will add that there is another option if you use Yahoo widgets. They have two available. I use the GamerCard one by Chad Poulson (in conjunction with the #1 from before). I like it because it automatically updates itself every 10 minutes. You can also set it up to use any of the different MGC themes since it's linked to the address of the card.

You registered quite recently, and the system can take a couple of hours to properly realise you've registered, so this time delay may be the problem.

Also, you need to log-in to the MGC site, then select 'MyMGC' from the bar running along the top. On the next page, choose 'Edit Your Account Settings' and tick all the boxes before clicking 'Submit'. This enables the settings for the 'card. After having done this, it may take another hour for the system to update, but it will then hopefully work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
