So I've just wrapped up a weekend of making small changes and enhancements to various parts of the site, which I have informally dubbed the MGC Tweakend.

I hope to have many more of these over the course of the year, as it allows me to make incremental additions to existing systems to better help and inform the community.

At the small end of these changes, the Genre Leaderboard has been able to contain a visual eyesore - the game list icons.

Instead of simply dumping the whole list on the screen, there is now a gallery which you can scroll through if you desire. You may also notice some additional data about the genre, such as the number of games and their Score and Achievement totals.

On the larger side of things, there's one fairly significant change that should appease both sides of the 'Should game demos show?' argument. Now, by default, Arcade titles with Zero GamerScore prior to the Fall Update will not display on your list of games. We have introduced a control to include them, if you wish.

In addition to tidying up the Profile, it will give you a more accurate count of your possible GamerScore, as your number of games and subsequent Achievement totals will change with this setting. We believe this gives the community greater control over how they wish to evaluate profiles.

We didn't stop there, though!
First, your Completion Leaderboard ranking is now located under your World/Country ranks.
Also, a visual indicator of your GamerScore against the MGC Average is displayed next to those Averages. This will give you an at-a-glance view of how well you're doing versus the rest of the community.

While these are small changes by themselves, they represent a combined commitment to hearing and appreciating the feedback of our community.

The MGC Tweakend has been quite fun, and we look to have many more in the future. Next up are addressing requests for our GamerPic Scout, and something new!

Are these welcome changes? Is there anything you were personally hoping for, in this list? Let us know!

I certainly look forward to more Tweakends. (IMG:http://forums.mygamercard.net/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Good job! Sometimes small tweaks and improvements are far better than completely new features.

Hover your mouse over a rank to see the overall number (it still needs to be added to the completion rank though by the looks of it). (IMG:http://forums.mygamercard.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Great job, Morgon! I was just looking around at stuff this morning and took notice of the red/green arrows and the lack of non-purchased Arcade games (two very welcome tweaks for this gamer!). I no longer have to take the extra few seconds to compare my little green score to the average little green score and see if I'm 'above-average'. Sweet!

I look forward to more 'Tweakends'!

Good updates. Still wish we could be searchable in the leaderboards though. I clicked my country flag to go from the global to the Irish leaderboard for a game, and it brought me to my profile...

I am happy with the updates...however...

I can no longer sort my games/achievements by completion percentage/ABC/etc. I can select a sort category on the top left side but there is no button to activate the sort. And of course hitting refresh only reloads the page by most recently played games. Am I missing something or is that something that is being worked on? Please let me know as that was one of my favorite features of the site.

It was a javascript bug that was introduced.
This has been fixed.

Hey, just wanted to say those updates are excellent - well done! The 0G demo removals was a huge (pleasant) surprise upon logging in, not to mention the completion rank and the comparison arrows - simply brilliant

One suggestion: how about a toggle / tick box(es) to switch the comparison arrows between global / country / friends list? Hmm, might get a bit confusing thinking about it... (IMG:http://forums.mygamercard.net/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Anyway, awesome site and thanks again! - H
